So when I first read it I thought it was a coffee table book, it turns out to be the inagural issue of SF Chefs(www.sf-chefs.com). It’s still quite a treat; a nice magazine to cozy up to with a glass of wine and enjoy hanging out on a lazy fall afternoon.
Each of the interviews were enough to get a new view of the chefs. I feel like I want to read more about each of them. What I really liked were the recipes from each of their restaurants. There is also a listing of places the chefs go to for particular cuisines or foods, it was neat to see which chef liked In-N-Out burgers and who liked to shop at Rainbow Grocery J’s uncle’s restaurant R&G Lounge got a nod for local chinese food. Pretty exciting.
It looks as though the magazine is purely supported from sponsorship and all proceeds of profits go to a local charity. The website definitely needs design help.
